All export products saw double-digit negative growth: frozen fillet pangasius decreased by 44%, whole/frozen/dried pangasius decreased by 15%, and processed pangasius products decreased by 56% compared to the same period last year.

The price of raw pangasius type I in Dong Thap in April averaged 30,000 VND/kg, a decrease compared to 32,500 VND/kg in the same period last year. In the second half of this year, there is an expectation that inventory levels will be gradually relieved in various markets, with a more positive demand as we enter the season for year-end consumption and major festivals.

Additionally, certain markets in Southeast Asia are considered potential destinations due to their more stable economies, lower inflation, geographical advantages, and customs duty benefits from various FTAs.”
